Senior Bioinformatician in Single-cell and Spatial Multiomics

About the role
The University of Oxford is seeking an experienced bioinformatician to join a multidisciplinary team at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology. The role bridges academia and industry, focusing on histopathological and omics analyses of samples from a Takeda‑sponsored clinical study of Crohn's Disease.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain computational pipelines for integration of single‑cell and spatial multi‑omics data.
- Design new methodologies to analyse histopathological and omics datasets.
- Identify, define and plan new research projects related to disease pathway discovery.
- Coordinate the analysis of large‑scale omics data sets and ensure reproducibility.
- Collaborate with clinicians, biologists and industry partners to translate findings into potential therapeutic targets.
Required profile
- PhD or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field.
- Proven experience in single‑cell and spatial multi‑omics research.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and scientific communication abilities.
