Senior Bridge Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to support the delivery of a major portfolio of bridge and highway structures projects across Scotland. You will join a well‑established team working on diverse schemes within long‑term Scottish highways frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across bridge design, assessment and asset improvement projects.
• Support the delivery of bridge and highway structures within the framework contracts.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
• Lead technical delivery and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Required profile

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with ICE or IStructE highly desirable.
• Strong bridge engineering experience.
• Background in highways structures projects.
• Ability to lead technical delivery and mentor junior staff.
