Senior Building Surveyor

About the role

RLB is looking for an ambitious Senior Building Surveyor to join its client‑focused team in Leeds. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile built‑asset projects while developing your career in an inclusive, employee‑owned environment.

Key responsibilities

• Project management and delivery from inception to completion.
• Act as Contract Administrator & Employer’s Agent.
• Design and specification writing for new developments.
• Conduct pre‑acquisition surveys and produce asset condition schedules.
• Quality and technical monitoring, including PPM and defect diagnosis.
• Manage dilapidations, party wall awards and bank/fund monitoring.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related technical discipline.
• MRICS membership or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects and excellent customer service.
• Solid understanding of CDM/Health & Safety and JCT contracts.
• Previous consultancy experience with strong stakeholder management.
• Client‑facing attitude, team player and motivated to build long‑term relationships.
