Senior Business Acceptance Analyst – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role
The Senior Business Acceptance Analyst will join the Risk & Compliance team of a leading US law firm operating in the UK. This six‑month fixed‑term position supports the client and matter inception process, ensuring all new business complies with regulatory and firm policies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage complex client and matter intake requests from inception through approval.
- Conduct detailed conflicts of interest checks and analyse legal and commercial risks.
- Review client due‑diligence, Know Your Client (KYC), sanctions, PEP and adverse media checks.
- Escalate high‑risk matters and provide recommendations to senior risk team members.
- Liaise directly with partners and fee earners on business acceptance requirements.
- Support review of engagement terms, outside‑counsel guidelines and other risk‑related documentation.
Required profile
- Significant experience in business acceptance, new business intake, conflicts, risk or compliance within an international law firm.
- Strong understanding of conflicts management, client onboarding, AML and KYC regulations.
- Experience handling complex, high‑value client matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to interpret and apply firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management with confidence to engage at partner level.
