Senior Business Data Consultant - Reference Data

About the role

Delta Capita is seeking an experienced Senior Business Data Consultant to support a large‑scale reference data and data quality programme for a leading investment bank. Working closely with the Programme Manager, you will analyse and document data quality issues across multiple asset classes in a front‑office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Document and analyse client reference data quality issues across credit, rates, FX and other asset classes.
• Map data flows, sources and ownership, and maintain structured issue logs with impact assessments.
• Perform root‑cause analysis covering technology, process, governance and ownership gaps.
• Support the development of remediation roadmaps, prioritisation frameworks and data‑readiness initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate findings and produce clear documentation such as data dictionaries and process flows.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data or business analysis within investment banking or capital markets.
• Strong understanding of reference data lifecycle and experience across multiple FIC asset classes.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data issues end‑to‑end in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks or MDM is beneficial.
