Senior Business Development Executive

About the role

As a Senior Business Development Executive you will prospect and approach potential new business clients across the UK, discuss their R&D projects and expenditure, and arrange face‑to‑face meetings for our Business Development Managers. Full training on the R&D Tax Credit scheme will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate meaningful conversations with prospective clients.
• Work within our comprehensive in‑house CRM system to manage leads.
• Arrange appointments for Business Development Managers who have expressed interest.
• Deliver top‑notch service with empathy, diligence and speed to ensure an impeccable customer experience.

Required profile

• Experience in a specialist R&D firm or accountancy practice is beneficial but not essential.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, demanding environment and enjoys collaborative work.
• Ambitious, driven to progress a career in sales.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong rapport‑building ability.
• Strong attention to detail and first‑time accuracy.
• Background in lead generation or appointment setting with a desire to move into a technical sales role within 12 months.

• Up to £40,000 basic salary (depending on experience) with OTE £65,000 and uncapped commission (top performers can exceed £75,000).
