Senior Business Development Lead – Retail Tech & Software Services

About the role

Mindera is seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Lead to drive growth in the UK retail and grocery sectors. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior technology leaders, helping them overcome architectural challenges such as legacy migration, composable commerce, and high‑traffic customer applications.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle to acquire net‑new tier‑1 and tier‑2 retail and grocery accounts across the UK.
• Navigate C‑suite and procurement processes, leveraging existing networks to engage executive tech stakeholders.
• Shift conversations from low‑cost offshore models to high‑value software craftsmanship, agile delivery, and AI‑enabled squads.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Software Artisans to design bespoke engineering squad structures for complex retail estates.
• Lead and coordinate complex RFP responses to win large‑scale technology consulting deals.
• Integrate quickly with Mindera’s global organization and stay current on technology, AI, and market trends.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of proven experience selling digital product engineering, custom software development, cloud transformation, or technology consulting services to enterprise‑level UK retail/grocery organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to secure new logos in highly competitive, tier‑1 retail environments.
• Strong network within UK retail technology procurement and vendor management offices.
• Consultative, advisory selling style with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled solutions and modern agile delivery practices.
• Understanding of composable commerce and high‑traffic retail applications.
