Senior Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

About the role

A leading freight and logistics provider is seeking a driven Senior Business Development Manager to expand its Air & Sea freight division. You will work consultatively with customers to deliver tailored freight forwarding solutions and play a pivotal role in driving revenue across domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business to meet and exceed revenue targets
• Build and develop long‑term partnerships with prospective and existing clients
• Design and present bespoke freight forwarding and logistics solutions
• Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to successful delivery
• Identify new opportunities for growth across routes, services, and markets
• Maintain a strong understanding of the freight and logistics landscape
• Monitor shipments and ensure exceptional service delivery

Required profile

• Proven experience within freight forwarding or logistics (essential)
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven with a proactive approach
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative team player with a customer‑first mindset
• Confident on the phone with a professional and engaging manner

• £55,000 – £75,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
