Senior Business Development Manager - High Risk Merchant Services

About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Alternative Banking, the Senior Business Development Manager will own new‑business acquisition across the fastest‑growing verticals – Gaming, Gambling and Crypto. This is a hunter role focused on selling a suite of high‑risk merchant services to mid‑market and enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end new business development across Gaming, Gambling and Crypto verticals.
• Sell multi‑currency wallets (named IBAN), cross‑border payments, FX, corporate cards and treasury solutions.
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting, events and network‑led referrals.
• Lead commercial negotiations, ensure compliance with KYB and regulatory requirements, and oversee onboarding hand‑offs.
• Help define the go‑to‑market playbook and contribute to a clear path toward future leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in payments, fintech or financial services with a proven closing record.
• Direct experience selling into high‑risk verticals such as Gaming, Gambling, Crypto or FX.
• Strong understanding of compliance, KYB and regulatory considerations for high‑risk client onboarding.
• Hunter mentality – comfortable building a pipeline from scratch and managing deals end‑to‑end.
• Confident engaging C‑suite and Finance Director level stakeholders.
• Thrives in an early‑stage, self‑directed environment.

Required skills

• Understanding of compliance and KYB processes.
• Knowledge of multi‑currency wallet and cross‑border payment solutions.
• Familiarity with corporate card and treasury tools.
