Senior Buyer – Automotive Electrical Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join a well‑established manufacturer of complex electrical equipment for the automotive and industrial supply chain. Based in Uxbridge, you will work directly with the Managing Director, managing end‑to‑end purchasing and influencing supplier strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full buying cycle – from purchase order creation to supplier negotiation and contracting.
• Review and optimise the existing supplier base to improve value and resilience.
• Source and manage global, especially offshore, suppliers and conduct occasional travel.
• Collaborate with internal teams in an environment without formal procurement or legal structures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an industrial, OEM or manufacturing setting, preferably supplying to end‑customers.
• Comfortable operating across tactical and strategic buying without line‑management responsibilities.
• Experience managing global suppliers and overseas sourcing.
• CIPS qualification desirable but not mandatory.
