Senior Buyer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Service Procurement team in Theale. The role focuses on delivering profitable external service contracts and interventions for biomedical and endoscopy equipment, supporting both private and NHS sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiations of contract pricing and terms for maintenance contracts.
• Manage suppliers and contracts within the SRM programme, ensuring sustainability, quality and profitability.
• Oversee purchase orders and contract administration across biomed private and NHS sites.
• Apply decision‑making techniques to optimise profit, value and risk.
• Support bids, pricing exercises and develop procurement processes and team capability.
• Act as first‑line contact for buyers on standard escalations and internal SLA agreements.

Required profile

• CIPS Level 4 qualification (minimum).
• At least 2 years of procurement experience in a commercial or operational setting.
• Minimum 3 years of UK‑based experience managing suppliers, contracts and procurement activities independently.
• Proven experience in cost management, SRM and performance improvement.
