Senior Buyer - Womenswear

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to lead the sourcing and purchasing of womenswear for a leading fashion retailer. Working closely with global suppliers and the design team, you will help create best‑selling collections while driving cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement product strategies that align with business objectives.
• Source, negotiate and secure optimal terms with global suppliers.
• Monitor market trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities and supplier innovations.
• Collaborate with merchandisers to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Analyse supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure service levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in womenswear buying, preferably in jersey tops or multi‑product departments.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Solid understanding of market trends and cost‑management strategies.
• Detail‑oriented approach to compliance and accuracy in procurement processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software.
• Experience using data analysis tools.
