Senior C++ Software Developer – Prop Trading, London

About the role

We are looking for a senior C++ Software Developer to join the technology team of a proprietary trading firm in London. You will work closely with traders and infrastructure engineers to build low‑latency, high‑throughput systems that drive the firm’s core trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain performance‑critical C++ code that interacts with network hardware and trading platforms.
• Build and optimise Linux‑based infrastructure for ultra‑low latency trading.
• Create internal tools and automation scripts to improve trader productivity.
• Take ownership of projects from conception through production deployment.
• Collaborate with traders, quant researchers and other engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Several years of professional C/C++ development (C++11/17/20/23).
• Strong Linux systems expertise.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliable software.
• Interest in finance, machine learning, big data or robotics is a plus.
