Senior Capital Actuary

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurer to recruit a Senior Capital Actuary for their Capital Modelling team in London. The role sits at the heart of the business, supporting capital strategy and regulatory reporting through sophisticated modelling techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance capital models used for solvency and risk assessment.
• Analyse model outputs, provide insights to senior stakeholders and support strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance and risk teams to ensure model assumptions reflect business reality.
• Present model findings and recommendations to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor junior actuaries and contribute to the evolution of the modelling framework.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary (FIA, IFoA or equivalent) with several years of experience in capital modelling.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proactive, investigative attitude and comfortable working with senior business partners.
