About the role
We are seeking a Senior Carbon & Net Zero Consultant to partner with clients and develop practical, commercially‑smart pathways to net‑zero emissions. The role combines technical carbon accounting expertise with commercial insight to deliver measurable climate impact.
Key responsibilities
- Support strategy, growth and delivery of Carbon and Strategy Services, including Scope 1‑3 carbon footprints, SECR, CDP Net Zero pathways, SBTi, transition plans and emissions verification.
- Lead delivery and project management of core carbon services and proactively identify and secure new client opportunities.
- Deliver high‑quality services within budget, identify hidden client needs and ensure solutions align with long‑term objectives.
- Drive process improvement, build strong relationships with colleagues, clients and the wider community, and represent Seismic at industry events.
Required profile
- Proven track record of growing a consulting delivery team in sustainability services and securing new business.
- Strong analytical abilities, confident data processing, and experience leading Scope 1‑3, Net Zero and decarbonisation projects.
- Excellent consulting skills, including client relationship building, project management, report writing and presenting.
- Growth mindset, adaptability to fast‑changing environments and a collaborative, people‑focused attitude.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of the GHG Protocol and SBTi methodology.
- Advanced data analysis in MS Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Python and PowerBI is a plus.
- Experience with carbon accounting, target setting and decarbonisation pathways.
