Senior Care Assistant – Care Home

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will oversee the daily needs of residents, delivering quality, person‑centred care while supporting a dedicated team. Working closely with the Deputy General Manager, you will also assist the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans and reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants.
• Support the Deputy General Manager in daily operations.
• Assist the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans and care reviews.
• Ensure person‑centred care that respects residents’ dignity and preferences.
• Help maintain a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment for residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualized resident support.
