About the role

Join Immacolata House Dementia Nursing Home as a Senior Care Assistant, guiding a team to deliver safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care for up to 49 residents in a purpose‑built facility surrounded by the Somerset countryside.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the care team throughout each shift, ensuring care is organised and consistent.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing, responding promptly to any changes.
• Maintain accurate care records and care plans.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including DBS checks.
• Work alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable.
• Willingness to undertake medication administration training to competency.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.

What we offer

• £14.00 per hour, contracted to 46 hours per week.
