Senior Care Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our luxury care home in Church Lawton. You will lead a team of care assistants, ensuring that each resident receives safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of each shift, organising and delivering care to a high standard.
• Provide hands‑on care while supervising medication administration and monitoring resident wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Work alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Required profile

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 desirable).
• Willingness to undertake medication administration training and achieve competency.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Caring, compassionate and professional attitude.

Required skills

• Medication administration competency.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.71 with enhanced overtime rates.
• Contracted 33 hours per week, paid DBS, pension and uniform.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time equivalent).
