Senior Care Assistant – Night Shift (8pm‑8am)

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at Barchester Healthcare’s care home in Wells, you will lead a team of Care Assistants during night shifts, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. Working alongside the Deputy General Manager and supporting the clinical team, you will help maintain a warm, welcoming environment for elderly residents.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants during the 8 pm‑8 am night shift.
• Support the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans and care reviews.
• Deliver person-centred care that respects each resident’s dignity and preferences.
• Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to uphold care standards.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical care for elderly residents.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted attitude and commitment to individualized support.
