About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our night‑shift team in Newcastle‑upon‑Tyne. This permanent position offers the chance to lead a team while delivering high‑quality care to residents.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support care staff during night shifts, ensuring confidence, competence and high standards.
- Provide personal care to residents, promoting dignity, respect and independence.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Administer medication safely with thorough record‑keeping.
- Foster a positive, safe and nurturing environment throughout the night.
Required profile
- Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification.
- Previous experience supervising a care team.
- Strong organisational skills and a caring attitude.
Required skills
- Medication administration.
- Care plan documentation.
