Senior Care Assistant – Night Shift

About the role
As a Senior Care Assistant in a Barchester care home, you will provide person‑centred support to residents while leading a team of dedicated Care Assistants. The role is night‑only, working 8 pm‑8 am across four nights a week, including alternate weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager.
- Support the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans and care reviews.
- Deliver high‑quality, dignified care that respects each resident’s preferences.
- Maintain a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment during night shifts.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Specific knowledge of clinical care for elderly residents.
- Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualized resident support.
