Senior Care Assistant – Nights

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant on the night shift at Esher Manor Care Home, you will work closely with the care team to provide high‑quality personal care in a safe and supportive environment. You will play a key part in monitoring resident wellbeing, supporting medication needs, and ensuring that care plans are up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor each resident’s wellbeing, note any changes, and update care records accordingly.
• Participate in person‑centred care planning, implementing and reviewing care plans on a monthly basis.
• Support residents with medication administration and ensure accurate documentation.
• Conduct staff supervisions and assist with the development of team members when required.
• Act as a primary contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health‑social care professionals, handling requests, concerns and escalations.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar residential care setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, caring attitude towards residents and staff.
• Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities and shift patterns.
