Senior Care Assistant – Part Time (Days) – Luxury Retirement Home

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant for a family‑run luxury retirement home in Bournemouth. The Victorian residence sits within extensive landscaped grounds and offers a peaceful environment close to local amenities, parks and beaches. You will support residents with daily care needs while mentoring the care team on day shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support care staff on shift.
• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Promote dignity, independence and choice.
• Support medication administration where required.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Ensure residents feel safe, comfortable and well supported.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high standards of care.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential setting.
• Experience providing personal and person‑centred care.
• Medication experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Compassionate, caring and respectful approach.
• Reliable, proactive and team‑focused.
• Genuine passion for supporting older people.
