Senior Care Assistant – Residential & Dementia Care

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at our luxury care home in Sale, you will lead a team to deliver safe, person‑centred care for residents with residential, dementia and respite needs. You will ensure each shift runs smoothly and that care standards remain high.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support the care team to provide high‑quality, compassionate care.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure clear communication with families and healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions to keep care safe and appropriate.
• Manage shift logistics, including staffing and resource allocation.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable.
• Willingness to complete medication administration training with competency.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Caring, compassionate and professional attitude.

Required skills

• £13.71 per hour, contracted to 44 hours per week.
