Senior Carer – Residential Care Home (Bank)

About the role

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer you will support residents in a Barchester care home, delivering person‑centred care while covering shift gaps such as annual leave or sickness. This flexible role allows you to work on an as‑needed basis, ensuring continuity of high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of care staff on each shift.
• Administer and order medication, and maintain accurate medication records.
• Review, update and implement resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and families to coordinate resident care.
• Promote a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment for all residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership abilities and sound decision‑making skills.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualized resident support.
