Senior Carer - Residential Care Home - Bank

About the role

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will support residents’ individual needs while delivering person‑centred care. You will lead a team of care staff, ensure safe medication handling, and maintain up‑to‑date care plans and risk assessments. The role is flexible, covering shifts as required for leave or sickness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff, including training and delegating duties.
• Administer and order medication in accordance with policies.
• Review, update and maintain resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and families to coordinate care.
• Promote a warm, welcoming and dignified environment for all residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership abilities and sound decision‑making skills.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted attitude with a commitment to individualized care.
