Senior Caretaker & Site Manager – Temporary Cleaning Role

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Senior Caretaker and Site Manager to join our Facilities Management team on a temporary basis in Middlesbrough (TS6 9AG). The role involves overseeing cleaning operations, managing a small team and ensuring the site is maintained to high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily cleaning activities across the site.
• Lead and coordinate a team of cleaners, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) requirements.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and report any issues to senior management.
• Assist with stock control of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a caretaker or site management role, preferably within facilities or construction environments.
• Ability to manage a team and take responsibility for site cleanliness.
• Willingness to obtain a PVG check and no criminal convictions.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work Monday‑Friday shifts, including occasional 06:00‑14:00 weeks.

• Understanding of health and safety standards in a workplace.
