Senior Category Manager – NHS AI Framework

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead the delivery of the Healthcare AI Solutions framework for the NHS. You will manage the end‑to‑end tender process, oversee onboarding, and support the promotion of digital innovation across the health service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the HC AI tender through all procurement stages, ensuring governance and successful go‑live.
• Lead a high‑performing Digital & IT sub‑team, providing direction on multiple framework agreements.
• Engage with national stakeholders, influence procurement decisions and drive cost savings.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure product, service and stakeholder requirements.
• Support marketing and promotion of the framework to increase NHS digitisation.

Required profile

• Level 5 CIPS qualification (or working towards) or equivalent procurement credential.
• Experience managing public‑sector framework agreements, preferably with knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional teams in a digital or IT environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills across a national footprint.
