Senior Charge Nurse (ECC/WGH)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Charge Nurse to provide inspirational leadership within NHS Lothian’s ECC/WGH sites. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, high‑quality patient care while supporting the development of a skilled nursing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the nursing team, fostering a collaborative and person‑focused environment.
• Promote and embed the values and ambitions of the Nursing & Midwifery Strategic Plan.
• Support clinical education initiatives, including induction programmes and preceptorship.
• Champion diversity, inclusion and equality in everyday practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
