Senior Chartered Building Surveyor

About the role

Join a leading multi‑disciplinary consultancy in Bristol and take charge of large refurbishment schemes, client accounts and the development of junior surveyors. You will work closely with colleagues across surveying, design, cost and project management to deliver projects from brief to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial advice through to completion
• Act as Contract Administrator and Project Manager
• Prepare specifications, tenders and technical reports
• Undertake surveys, defect analysis and due‑diligence assessments
• Manage client communication and project reporting
• Coordinate internal and external consultant teams
• Review junior surveyors' work and provide mentorship
• Support bids and regional business development
• Maintain strong technical and service standards

Required profile

• MRICS qualification and a relevant Building Surveying degree
• Proven construction consultancy experience
• Strong project and professional services knowledge
• Commercially aware with the ability to manage clients and competing priorities
• Experience supporting and mentoring junior surveyors
• Track record of independent project delivery
