Senior Children's Home Residential Support Worker

About the role

A great opportunity to join a growing care company providing live‑in residential support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. The role is based in a new children’s home in Wallasey and involves delivering a stable, loving environment while helping young people develop essential life skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide live‑in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour in a residential home in Wallasey.
• Assist with daily routines such as preparing breakfast, dressing, school drop‑offs, laundry, cooking dinner, bathing and bedtime.
• Deliver emotional support and help children develop life‑skills, learning and personal development.

Required profile

• Live in or near Wallasey and hold a full UK driving licence (vehicle preferred, house car available).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (or be working towards it) and prior experience in a children’s home.

What we offer

• Hourly rate £15.94 for Level 3 qualified staff, £15.33 for experienced staff without the qualification.
• 224 hours holiday per year plus extra days after two years of service.
• Bank holidays paid at 1.5×, private health care, and a support network with further training.
• Petrol reimbursement at 40p per mile.
