Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning consultancy, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Fareham. You will work within a multidisciplinary design office, collaborating with developers, architects and local authorities on a variety of residential, commercial and care‑home schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Design drainage systems in line with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations and the SuDS Manual.
• Develop highway layouts and S278/S38 schemes adhering to the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and the Manual for Streets.
• Prepare fee proposals and manage design resources for combined drainage, external works and highway projects.
• Review junior team members' reports, drawings and calculations.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and support quality management activities.

Required profile

• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or working towards it with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of consultancy experience, including work with local authorities, developers and architects.
• Proven experience managing projects from pre‑application through to condition discharge.

Required skills

• AutoCAD
• Site 3D (or equivalent 3D civil engineering software)
