Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced civil engineer to join a dynamic consultancy in Bath. The role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in infrastructure and drainage design, as well as proven client‑facing and project‑leadership experience. You will take ownership of projects from inception to delivery, mentor junior engineers and support the strategic development of the office.

Key responsibilities

• Hands‑on civil and drainage design on a mixture of projects.
• Coordinating with other disciplines and regional offices across the business.
• Mentoring junior staff and contributing to their professional development.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in civil engineering.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent).
• Strong consultancy experience delivering infrastructure and drainage design projects.
• Previous experience managing projects and/or teams.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ambitious and commercially aware with a desire to help grow the business and lead projects.
