Senior Claims Adjuster

About the role

The growing London market specialty insurer is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join its Energy claims function. You will manage a technically interesting portfolio focused on renewable energy, including onshore and offshore wind, solar, and related energy risks, while also gaining exposure to other complex specialty lines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex energy and specialty claims from first notification to final resolution.
• Review coverage, set claim strategy, manage reserves, and appoint external vendors.
• Negotiate settlements and ensure claims are handled efficiently, commercially and fairly.
• Identify key issues early, escalate high‑value or complex matters, and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement, portfolio insight and the development of the renewable energy claims proposition.

Required profile

• Strong experience handling energy, renewable energy, property, casualty or complex specialty claims.
• Background in the London Market, Lloyd's or a specialty insurance environment.
• Good understanding of insurance principles, coverage, reserving and claims strategy.
• Confidence managing high‑value or technically complex claims.
• Excellent stakeholder management with brokers, lawyers, experts and internal teams.
• Commercial, proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
• Professional insurance qualifications are advantageous.
