Senior Claims Adjuster

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster – Casualty to join a highly respected London market insurer. The role involves managing complex claims, ensuring accurate valuation, and supporting the broader claims team with expert guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and process claims estimates and paid values accurately and promptly.
• Investigate and resolve specialist, complex claims while minimising leakage.
• Manage client and broker estimates and billings, addressing discrepancies swiftly.
• Identify coverage issues to align company liability with contractual commitments.
• Pursue subrogation, contribution and other recovery opportunities.
• Produce statistical and analytical claims reports for monitoring and decision‑making.
• Act as a referral point for team members, offering guidance on specific tasks or complex claims.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of technical claims handling within a regulated group claims function.
• Strong understanding of delegated and third‑party claims management from technical, commercial and operational perspectives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build constructive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record managing complex and disputed claims, providing expert guidance.
• Recognised qualifications or practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
