Senior Claims Adjuster – Property D&F

About the role

We are partnering with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate to recruit a Senior Claims Adjuster for their Property Direct & Facultative (D&F) team. The role involves managing international property D&F claims from first notice through to settlement, ensuring accurate assessment and timely resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of international Property D&F claims from notification to closure.
• Assess coverage, liability, quantum and develop appropriate claims strategies.
• Maintain accurate reserves in line with established reserving philosophies and protocols.
• Liaise with policyholders, brokers, co‑insurers, actuaries, underwriters and other stakeholders throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with best‑practice standards, service levels and reporting requirements.
• Instruct and manage external loss adjusters, legal counsel and other service providers according to approved panels.
• Build strong relationships with underwriting and business development teams to support effective claims management.
• Maintain well‑documented claim files and uphold high standards of record keeping.

Required profile

• Significant experience in Property D&F claims within the London/Lloyd's market.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex international claims from inception to settlement.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reserving and documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• ECF experience
