Senior Claims Adjuster – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our Energy claims function in London, focusing on renewable energy portfolios such as onshore and offshore wind and solar. The role offers the chance to manage technically complex claims while working closely with senior stakeholders across underwriting, brokers, lawyers and external experts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex energy and specialty claims from first notification through to resolution.
• Review coverage, set claims strategy, manage reserves and appoint external vendors.
• Negotiate settlements and ensure claims are handled efficiently, commercially and fairly.
• Identify key issues early, escalate high‑value or complex matters, and provide clear recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements, portfolio insight and the development of the renewable energy claims proposition.

Required profile

• Strong experience handling energy, renewable energy, property, casualty or complex specialty claims.
• Background in the London Market, Lloyd’s or a specialty insurance environment.
• Good understanding of insurance principles, coverage, reserving and claims strategy.
• Confidence managing high‑value or technically complex claims.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with brokers, lawyers, experts and senior internal teams.
• Commercial, proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
• Professional insurance qualifications are advantageous.
