Senior Claims Operations Analyst (Reconciliation)

About the role

You will join a specialist claims team at a leading London Market insurance broker, focusing on the investigation and resolution of claims and financial transactions. The role is highly analytical and process‑driven, aiming to improve data quality and reduce aged balances across international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Review claims activity and identify discrepancies across claims and financial records.
• Analyse aged items, investigate unmatched balances and drive resolution of complex issues.
• Reconcile claims data and review supporting documentation to determine root causes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external market counterparties to resolve outstanding matters.
• Process financial adjustments, ensuring accurate allocation and recording in line with market processes.
• Maintain robust audit trails and track outstanding actions to ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, controls, and data integrity.

Required profile

• Strong London Market experience, preferably within a broker environment.
• Exposure to claims operations, financial processes and IBA procedures.
• Understanding of claims payment flows, reconciliation activities and market settlement workflows.
• Familiarity with London Market systems such as ECF and IMR.
• Investigative mindset with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while supporting broader team objectives.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience using ECF (Electronic Claims Facility).
• Experience using IMR (Insurance Market Repository).
