Senior Client Manager – Eastbourne

About the role

This senior client manager position sits between the delivery team and the director of a fast‑growing, independent accounting practice in Eastbourne. You will own a portfolio of owner‑managed SME clients, ensuring high‑quality delivery and strong relationships while enjoying real autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients as their primary day‑to‑day contact.
• Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT, CIS and personal tax returns.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts and explain the results to clients.
• Identify advisory opportunities and support director‑level strategic discussions.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements across the firm.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
• Proven experience working with owner‑managed business clients.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal mentoring.

Required skills

• Xero accounting software.
