Senior Commercial Claims Handler

About the role

We are partnering with a growing insurance broker, part of a leading UK insurance group, to hire a Senior Commercial Claims Handler for their Winchester office. You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial property and liability claims, working autonomously while building strong relationships with clients, insurers and broker partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Commercial Property and Liability claims from notification through to settlement.
• Proactively progress open claims, reducing lifecycle times and ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide an exceptional client experience, keeping claimants fully informed throughout the process.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers, loss adjusters and wholesale broker partners.
• Attend client meetings and site visits to act as a trusted adviser.
• Support the wider team with additional claims‑related activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience handling Commercial Property and Liability claims.
• Previous experience in an insurance broking claims role.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage a busy, varied workload.
• Proactive, client‑focused approach with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service.
