Senior Commercial Electrician – Fault Finding & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a senior commercial electrician to join a fast‑growing field‑based team serving the healthcare sector. The role is mobile, operating from a company van equipped with an electronic job management system, and involves fault finding, maintenance and minor installation work across a wide geographic area.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve commercial electrical faults on site.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor electrical installations.
• Respond to call‑outs on a rota (1 week in every 18) with standby and double‑time rates.
• Provide technical advice to fellow electricians via phone or on‑site support.
• Travel to sites within a 30‑minute radius of your base; mileage beyond 30 miles each way is reimbursed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a commercial electrician, comfortable with complex fault finding.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site.
• Strong professionalism, adaptability and patience when dealing with varied environments.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary starting at £45,000 per year, with flexibility for the right candidate.
