About the role
We are partnering with a long‑established, chartered insurer to find a technically proficient Senior Commercial Underwriter for their Manchester team. The role combines complex renewal underwriting with mentorship of junior colleagues, all within a niche property‑focused market.
Key responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced underwriters.
- Underwrite complex commercial renewal risks, with a bias towards property.
- Maintain and develop relationships with a well‑established broker panel.
- Collaborate with the Manchester underwriting team to deliver technical expertise.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a commercial underwriter, preferably with property exposure.
- Strong understanding of complex risk structures.
- Excellent broker relationship management abilities.
- Confident communicator capable of mentoring colleagues.
