Senior Communications Manager – Research Integrity & Ethics

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Communications, Integrity, Ethics and Editorial Policy, the Senior Communications Manager will advise on and deliver high‑quality communications that reinforce Springer Nature’s reputation as a trusted publisher. Working within Corporate Affairs, the role blends proactive storytelling about research integrity initiatives with rapid response to emerging issues in a fast‑moving, high‑profile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies that showcase the company’s work on research integrity, ethics and editorial policy.
• Produce press releases, briefing documents, thought‑leadership pieces and internal communications.
• Manage issues and crises related to research integrity, ensuring timely and accurate messaging.
• Collaborate with specialist teams, technology partners and the wider research community to align messaging.
• Monitor media and stakeholder sentiment, providing insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate communications, preferably within publishing or research sectors.
• Strong understanding of research integrity, ethics and editorial policy issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple high‑visibility projects.
