Senior Company & Commercial Solicitor

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Company & Commercial Solicitor to establish and lead a new department within our firm. The role will shape the strategic direction of our commercial legal services while ensuring top‑class client service and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Company & Commercial department, setting strategic goals and operational policies.
• Drive business growth through networking, client relationship management and business development activities.
• Provide expert advice on company and commercial matters such as sales and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts and corporate governance.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a team to support the department’s objectives.
• Deliver customised, practical solutions to clients, ensuring compliance and effective risk management.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ post‑qualification experience in Company & Commercial law.
• Proven experience managing complex transactions and advising a range of businesses.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of team development and departmental management.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with robust business development and networking skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities to maintain strong client relationships.
