Senior Compliance Officer

About the role

Harrison Holgate is seeking a proactive Senior Compliance Officer to join its Compliance & Governance team in London on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Governance, you will lead compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions and support the business in meeting regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group’s compliance function across several jurisdictions and act as deputy to the Head of Compliance.
• Represent compliance in governance committees and provide practical guidance to brokers, underwriters and production teams.
• Monitor emerging regulatory, legal and market developments and translate them into actionable advice.
• Draft, maintain and update Group compliance manuals, policies and registers.
• Oversee data‑protection governance, incident management and act as deputy Data Protection Officer when required.
• Support business continuity, internal and external audit coordination, and regulatory reporting using FCA tools.
• Administer the training platform to ensure regulatory training compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a compliance role within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise senior management and production teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.
• FCA‑regulated experience is advantageous.
