Senior Conflicts Analyst

About the role

Join a leading international law firm as a Senior Conflicts Analyst within the Onboarding Conflicts team. Based in Manchester (with options for Leeds or Glasgow), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the firm’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end conflict checks on complex, high‑risk matters, adhering to the SRA Code of Conduct 2019 and Market Abuse Regulation.
• Analyse confidential records and documentation to assess relevance, materiality, and risk.
• Escalate sensitive or intricate conflict issues to senior colleagues or the Head of Conflicts.
• Provide expert guidance to junior analysts and act as a point of escalation for technical queries.
• Assist team leaders with workflow priorities, complex queries, and ad‑hoc tasks.
• Support quality‑assurance initiatives by auditing conflict search results and delivering feedback.
• Process incoming queries, maintain information barriers, and handle client matter inception requests.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Onboarding, and other business services to manage risk effectively.
• Contribute to process improvements and share insights during team discussions.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting conflict checks on complex, high‑risk legal matters.
• Strong analytical ability to assess confidential records and identify potential risks.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct 2019 and Market Abuse Regulation.
• Demonstrated capability to escalate and resolve intricate conflict issues.
• Experience providing guidance to junior team members and handling workflow priorities.
