Senior Construction Project Manager – Infrastructure & Development

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Senior Construction Project Manager to lead infrastructure and civil engineering projects for our client’s Gloucester office. The role will act as the technical anchor for large‑scale developments, including roads, drainage, utilities and strategic land schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project life‑cycle, delivering on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Lead complex civil and infrastructure projects, overseeing design, procurement and construction phases.
• Serve as primary client liaison, building relationships and driving repeat business.
• Provide technical consultancy across pre‑ and post‑contract stages and manage contracts such as NEC, JCT and ICC.
• Identify and mitigate risks, control budgets, and apply value‑engineering techniques.
• Mentor junior staff and support the Project Management Partner in developing the local team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering civils and infrastructure projects, preferably in strategic land, utilities or large‑scale residential schemes.
• Background in a consultancy or client‑side project management environment.
• Professional qualification such as MCIOB, MRICS, APM or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling tools – Asta Power Project or MS Project.
• Knowledge of Section 278 and Section 38 regulations.
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT and ICC contract frameworks.
