Senior Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead mixed‑use, residential and commercial schemes in the Brighton area. The role will act as the technical anchor for complex developments, reporting to the regional director and balancing office‑based responsibilities with site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project life‑cycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, building relationships that generate repeat business.
• Provide technical consultancy across pre‑ and post‑contract stages and manage contracts such as NEC, JCT and ICC.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, control costs and drive value‑engineering initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and support the Project Management Partner in developing a collaborative office culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a construction consultancy or client‑side project management environment.
• Demonstrated background in mixed‑use, residential, commercial (and optionally education, healthcare, infrastructure or civils) projects.
• Construction‑related degree and preferably a professional qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM or equivalent).

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Asta Power Project or MS Project.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT and ICC contract frameworks.
