Senior Consultant - Flood Risk & Drainage

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy in London. You will take ownership of technical delivery across feasibility studies, master‑planning and planning submissions, shaping sustainable drainage solutions for a variety of development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead flood risk assessments and develop drainage strategies for new developments.
• Produce drainage modelling and SuDS designs using InfoDrainage or comparable tools.
• Support feasibility studies, master‑planning and planning application packages.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and internal multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare clear, robust technical reports and design documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of UK consultancy experience in flood risk and drainage.
• Strong capability in drainage modelling and SuDS design.
• Good understanding of flood policy, NPPF and the SuDS Manual.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS applications.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
