Senior Consultant - HR M&A Transactions

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to support clients with people‑related matters throughout the M&A lifecycle. You will work on enterprise‑wide reorganisations, restructurings and workforce optimisation, delivering high‑quality advice from due diligence to post‑deal integration.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients on HR issues arising from acquisitions, divestitures and mergers, including post‑deal activities.
• Structure, manage and deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Identify and mitigate potential issues, ensuring clear and timely communication with project leads.
• Prepare reports, project plans, data analyses and presentation materials for client and executive audiences.
• Analyse data and present risk‑managed conclusions in various formats.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance with EY’s Q&RM guidelines.
• Collaborate with other EY M&A service lines, EYP and Consulting to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Strong HR M&A deal experience, including HR due diligence, sell‑and‑separate, buy‑and‑integrate, and post‑deal transformation.
• Commercial HR experience in the private sector, public sector or consulting.
• Proven project management, presentation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience in HR disciplines such as employee/industrial relations, compensation & benefits, change and communication (ideal but not essential).
• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis abilities and proficiency with data‑presentation tools.
• Team player who can quickly integrate into new teams, build relationships and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
